  1. Copy these spreadsheets to your hard disk.   If you down-loaded them dir-
  2. ectly to your hard disk, back them up on a floppy disk.   The first
  3. time you use either of these spreadsheets, enter your initials and save
  4. the file under its original name.  After that, make up new 8 letter names
  5. each time you want to save a filled out spreadsheet.  Be careful, if you
  6. use a name of an existing file, the new file will overwrite the old one
  7. without warning.

  9. Cell "A74" contains a printer re-set code.  To edit this, turn off global
  10. protection, make your changes, turn global protection back on, move the
  11. cursor back to "Type" and save under the original file name.  ||\027E will
  12. reset most laser printers.  Most "Epson" dot matrix printers need ||\027@,
  13. note that the || symbol is used by lotus to direct set-up codes to the
  14. printer.  \027 is the "ESC" code.  Consult your printer manual for "reset"
  15. or "initialize".

  17. The file HOWTO.TXT contains an equipment list as well as instructions on 
  18. configuring the equipment and doing the measurements.  It is in ASCII so it
  19. can be directed to the printer for a hard copy, or imported into a word pro-
  20. cessor and printed.  To print it directly, key in the following:

  22.             TYPE HOWTO.TXT > PRN  
  23. Then hit enter.

  25. At the bottom of the spreadsheet is a portion to fill out by hand.  There
  26. are spaces to record impedance magnitude and phase at two frequencies and
  27. to record the 4 coefficients calculated by the motor impedance calcualtor 
  28. utility inside ATI's LEAP 4.1 program.  ATI, 7556 South West Bridgeport Rd,
